Verde is an AI-powered SMS cannabis concierge service operated by HEYtext, located in Los Angeles, California. Verde provides cannabis product guidance, dispensary information, loyalty rewards, and related services via SMS text messaging to opted-in customers of licensed cannabis dispensaries.
When you opt in to Verde at a dispensary kiosk, we collect: your mobile phone number, first name (optional), age verification confirmation (21+), consent timestamp, device information, and IP address. During SMS conversations, we store message content to provide context for ongoing conversations. We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or social security numbers.
We use your information to: respond to your cannabis-related questions via SMS, send daily Verde content at 4:20pm (if opted in), send deal alerts and loyalty updates from your home dispensary, track loyalty points toward your 420-point reward, and improve our AI responses over time. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
By opting in to Verde, you consent to receive automated SMS messages including AI-generated responses, daily content, dispensary deals, brand updates, and loyalty notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Verde message. Reply HELP for help. For support, contact support@textverde.com.
We share your information only with: the licensed dispensary where you opted in (your home dispensary), our technology service providers (Twilio for SMS delivery, Supabase for data storage, Anthropic for AI responses), and as required by law. We do not share your information with cannabis brands for direct marketing without your explicit consent.
As a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information), and non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We retain your information for as long as your Verde account is active. Conversation history is retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@textverde.com or replying STOP to opt out of SMS messages.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission and secure data storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Verde is only available to individuals 21 years of age or older. We verify age at the point of opt-in at the dispensary kiosk. If we become aware that a user is under 21, we will immediately delete their information and terminate their access.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via SMS. Continued use of Verde after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
